About
Me

I won’t try to pretend this isn’t me (Scott) writing this bio by presenting it in third-person. It’d be silly for me to hire someone else to write about me on a website promoting my writing skills. I also can’t afford it. So here’s me talking about myself. Thanks for reading.

Who am I? I’m a writer and producer for marketing and television with over 10 years of experience.  In my early twenties, I toured with a children's theatre company, traveling all over the world working with kids and singing songs about pirates and vegetables. In 2005 I moved to Los Angeles, soon landed my first television job on a little-known show called The Bachelor. Since then I’ve written scripts, pitched jokes, ordered coffee and organized shoots for many many projects including Ridiculousness, Web Soup, The Nerdist, Epic Meal Time, Project Runway, Funny or Die and College Humor, just to name a few. For the past few years, I’ve shifted into the marketing world, writing commercials, producing television and radio spots and copywriting for clients in a variety of industries including agriculture, education, tech and retail.

Aside from my experience with video production, I’ve been writing and performing for the stage my whole life. When I moved to LA I started studying and performing improv and sketch comedy at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. Since then my work has been seen at comedy festivals all over the country and websites all over the internet. Additionally, I’ve directed shows and taught writing and improv classes for UCB, iOWest, ImprovLA, as well as hosted several independent corporate workshops.

I enjoy traveling, learning new things and watching Netflix shows about food. Favorite film: Dazed and Confused. Favorite musician: Elvis Costello. Favorite breakfast cereal: Fruity Pebbles. Favorite Ben & Jerry’s flavor: Phish Food. Favorite classic Youtube video: this one.
